Composting procedure with MY GREEN BIN
- Prepare the Bin: Start by putting a 1-inch layer of My Green Microbes at the bottom of the bin. This helps make the bin good for making compost.
- Layer Waste: Put 3 to 4 inches of waste into the bin, making the first layer of stuff that can turn into compost.
- Add Microbes: Spread My Green Microbes evenly on top of the waste layer. This helps make the composting happen faster.
- Repeat Process: Keep adding waste and My Green Microbes, going back and forth until the bin is full.
- Composting: When the first bin is full, cover it with a layer of microbes and let it sit to make compost. This makes the stuff in the bin break down into good soil.
- Start Second Bin: Begin doing the same thing in the second bin, filling it with waste and My Green Microbes.
- Alternate Use: While one bin is turning waste into compost, use the other one to keep adding more waste. This way, you’ll always have compost ready for your garden. By following these steps, you can manage your organic waste well and make good compost for your garden.

You can compost a variety of organic materials in our GRB 5000 – 5000 ltr Bulk digester, including Cooked food, Uncooked food, Tea bags, Coffee dust, Fruits & Fruit peels, Vegetable peels, Flower waste, Egg shells (Crushed), Paper bits, Garden waste, Saw dust, Ashes.
Things not to go into My Green Bin
- Sanitary napkins, Disposable Diapers, Bandages or any materials contaminated with blood.
- Dry waste: Glass, Wire, Cloth, Fabric, Leather, Rubber, Thermocol, Plastic, Metal, Paper, Wood, Rexine.
- E-Waste and Hazardous Waste: Tube lights, Bulbs, Batteries, Electronic waste, Paints, Cleaning agents, Oil, Aerosol cans, Cosmetics, Syringes, Insecticides, Tablets (medicines), Thermometers.
These items can either contaminate the compost or pose environmental and health risks if composted. It’s essential to dispose of them properly according to local regulations.
